Galway Bus Tracker is a free app used by people who take the bus in Galway. If your business is near a bus stop or wants to reach bus users, we would like to hear from you.
Who uses the app
Students, workers and visitors who travel on Galway’s city buses. They open the app before leaving home and again at the stop, while they wait. Once a day we count how many devices open the app (without any personal data), so we can share up-to-date figures when you get in touch.
How you can appear
- Sponsored stop
- A short card, clearly marked “Sponsored”, shown when someone taps a stop near your business: your name, a one-line offer and a link.
- Banner
- A banner at the bottom of the website and the live map, in the browser.
- Route sponsor
- Your name next to the timetable of a route, for example “Route 401 timetable, brought to you by…”.
- Partnerships
- Language schools, colleges, hostels and events: you share the app with your students or guests, and we give you visibility in return.
Our rules
- Every paid placement is clearly marked as “Sponsored”.
- No tracking and no personal data: your placement is just an image, a text and a link.
- Nothing may suggest that the app is run by the NTA, Bus Éireann or any bus operator.
- We may decline placements that do not suit our users.
